Tip - Cleaning Your Typhoon/Hurricane

A sizeable amount of oil being forced through the automation system components can easily pick up contaminants along the way that could/would be carried into the system, and really "gum up the works." However, if the path of the oil to the system is clean, only clean oil will get to the system and would be easily be passed right on through and be deposited either in the barrel from firing or at the vents of the 4-way valve.

Try forcing just plain water through the system from time to time for cleaning. Fill the ASA or hose with warm water and hook up the air supply to blast the water through the whole gun as you shoot it. Does a great job of cleanout harmlessly. Cycle it a hundred times or so to be sure to get all the water out and then lubricate well by putting some OIL in at the ASA or hose fitting and blowing through the gun. (KotL note- refer to your Typhoon or Hurricane's manual for the procedure )

Quick, easy and VERY thorough cleaning as a regular preventative maintainence to avoid "fouling" of the pneumation system components. This has worked well for me for eight years and I never have to take my guns apart to CLEAN them. ( * KotL note- this works just as well on any autococking gun's pneumation system components using the same procedure.)
